The Role

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to assist in the promotion and sales of our newly developed Thoroughbred Tourism products as well as managing our digital channels and booking system. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things Marketing, Tourism and an interest in horses or the Thoroughbred Industry. The candidate will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the Internet can be used as a strong asset in securing revenue. You will be working as part of a small team however, communication with clients will be of utmost importance as you will also be involved in creating and delivering Travel Itineraries for visitors to Thoroughbred Country.

The Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers
  • Plan and monitor the ongoing company presence on social media (Instagram, Facebook, X, Linkedin etc.)
  • Manage and update our booking/ticketing system
  • Launch optimized online adverts through Google Adwords, Facebook etc. to increase brand awareness
  • Be actively involved in SEO efforts
  • Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organise their distribution through various channels
  • Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update website
  • Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.)
  • Maintain partnerships with experience providers and other suppliers

The candidate

  • Proven experience as Marketing Executive or similar role
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • Experience with B2C & B2B social media, Google Adwords and email campaigns, SEO, Google Analytics
  • Skills and experience in creative content writing
  • Excellent communication skills with an easy-going, friendly manner
